Did You Know Chevrolet Turned 100 Years Old This November?

One Hundred Years of Building, Driving, and Living Chevrolet is something Standard Motors Ltd. and Chevrolet have in common, and our shared history defines who we are. Chevrolet was founded by Louis Chevrolet and General Motors Founder William Durant. Soon after, Chevrolet developed a reputation of producing cars known for their dependability, performance, and value. They have upheld that repution, attributing to this century of success.

From the First Series C Classic Six to today's Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet's introduction of technology has evolved from electric fuel injection, anti-lock brakes, and electronic stability control systems to the all new electrically driven extended range Chevrolet Volt. Chevrolet has always pushed the boundaries of performance and design, and that is why it has become the cultural icon that it currently is. Chevrolet has procuded a hundred years worth of icons. Some of these timeless favourites include the 1914 Chevrolet Mail Roadster, 1932 Chevrolet Sport Roadster, 1936 Chevrolet Suburban, 1948 Chevrolet Pickup, 1953 Chevrolet Corvette, 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe, 1963 Chevrolet Impala, 1963 Corvette Stingray, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, and the 2011 Chevrolet Volt. We can all remember our first car, and memories are often built around these cars. Do any of these classic's resonate memories for you today?

Standard Motors is proud to be a part of the 100 years of Chevrolet and its iconic progression throughout this century. We congratulate Chevrolet on this milestone achievement. What will Chevrolet impress us with next? Here's to the next 100 years of possibilities.
